Abstract

The paper presents the results of applying the method of discrete elements to evaluate mechanical properties of sandy soils under cyclic loading. It is based on a comparison of the results of numerical experiments and the results of laboratory tests conducted at the Kazan State University of Architecture and Construction. A mathematical model adequately reflects the change in the strength and deformation parameters of sandy soils under cyclic compression volume. The mathematical model permits to determine the optimal parameters and the number of cycles of the  machine actuator exposure for which the absence of drawdown of soil construction with specified sizes is provided.
