Abstract

The problem of defining the modes and frequencies of self-oscillations of a tape has been solved. The tape motion is described by dynamic equations in vector form. The approximate calculus method has been suggested for free oscillations; it provides a high degree of accuracy when determining the frequency of self- oscillations of the tape.
