We introduce the issue of the role of a representational historical source for teaching the course of Russian history abroad; the analysis is held on the basis of historical essays of graduate students of Korea University (South Korea, Seoul); we provide the analysis of Russian and foreign literary works taking them as the channel leading us to deep understanding of Russian history and culture; we are interested in how foreign students see Russia and its history, we try to find the origins of their understanding of the subject.References
