The paper addresses the issues of calculating the strength of K-H-V planetary gears with a small difference in the number of gearwheel teeth. The calculations have been brought into accordance with the GOST 21354-87 standard (ГОСТ 21354-87) “Cylindrical Involute Gears with External Toothing. Strength calculations” in order to use it for preventing plastic deformation of teeth during contact strength evaluation and for preventing teeth breakage during flexural stability calculations as well as during strength calculations under maximum short-time load. A calculation of safety probability is also presented along with general experimental research results.References
