It is emphasized that in the new Paralympic sport - sledge hockey as in traditional ice hockey, self-control and emotional strength help to overcome excessive excitement, save energy, respect the normal course of thinking and motor processes. The effectiveness of the gaming activities of the hockey players is largely determined by the high level of vigilance: its volume, intensity, stability, distribution and switching. In a complex and rapidly changing game situations hockey player at the same time perceives a large number of different objects. This sport is characterized by high speeds, tough power fight, constant change of difficult game situations. All this requires from the players, along with the high level of coordination abilities, first of all, high speed-power qualities and psychological preparedness. On the other hand, there are no research and methodological inventions concerning stress resistance and vigilance parameters of sledge hockey players. Further development of sledge hockey in Russia is impossible without a developed research and methodological base. The study shows the absence of sledge hockey players, people with severe lesions of the musculoskeletal system (all of them with amputated one or even two lower limbs), significant instability of emotions and a high level of trait anxiety that are characteristic of disability of this kind. The study of the vigilance parameters showed that among sledge hockey players no serious violations of individual components of attention were found. Some problems existed only among athletes who have a combination of moderate emotional instability and a slight increase of the trait anxiety level. Such athletes are at risk of attention disorders and require additional special training so that they do not become real.References
