A NOTE FROM THE EDITOR-IN-CHIEF

Dear readers! I would like to draw your attention to the very difficult processes that are currently taking place at defense industry enterprises not only in our republic, but also in the industry as a whole. There is no doubt that these processes are homogeneous and have the same degree of severity, taking into account the current moment. First of all, attention is drawn to the acute shortage of qualified personnel, both blue-collar workers and engineers and technologists! It is no secret that since the start of the special operation in Ukraine, the volume of state defense orders has increased sharply, and enterprises are forced to increase their volumes in order to fulfill obligations under the state defense order. In conditions of shortage of personnel and production space, they actually switched to a continuous work schedule: where conditions allow (primarily the availability of workers), work is carried out in three shifts; where there is a shortage of labor, workshops and sections of the enterprise switched to working in two shifts, 12 hours a day. There is no violation of the law, since the Labor Code of the Russian Federation limits only the total size of the work week, which should not exceed 40 hours, i.e. less is possible, no more is allowed! In this regard, proposals to switch to a four-day working week with a 10-hour working day and three days off do not look so naive! I won’t go deeply into the debate about what this could lead to, one thing is clear: this is not prohibited by law, which means it can be used where it is justified!...Downloads
