This scientific study focuses on the peculiarities of representing agonyms (in orthological dictionaries and corpora) to address the challenges of enhancing the speech culture of Russian language speakers. Attention is drawn to the possibilities of using different types of dictionaries, various types of dictionaries and materials from the Russian National Corpus to foster the speech culture of linguists (students, master's students, doctoral candidates and young researchers). The authors believe that a dictionary reflects the stability of the language system (normative aspect), while a corpus provides insight into the evolutionary processes within the language and its “living” facts. Therefore, a corpus can be regarded as a new tool for scientific linguistic analysis. Modern corpora are supplemented with frequency and distributional dictionaries, with particular attention given to the capabilities of frequency dictionaries for studying rarely encountered words in the text, which may claim the status of agnonyms, as well as the issue of “non-dictionary words”. It is proposed to use a distribution dictionary to determine semantic relations of words (phraseologisms, concepts). The national corpus of the Russian language is balanced, includes texts of various stylistic (genre) affiliation, which allows studying agnonymy in various functional strata of the Russian language (book, poetic, scientific, argot, jargon vocabulary and phraseology), as well as taking into account the evolutionary processes in the language system (deactualization, re-deactualization, communicative drift, etc.). Attention is focused on the fact that the corpus and dictionaries allow studying new things in the national language (neology, neography), occasional, idiolect features of speech, and also facilitate the construction of “agnonymy zones” for a specific user. The article discusses the features of preparing the necessary information about agnonym terms in a dictionary or corpus, taking into account such criteria of the definitional part as scientific value, sufficiency, etc.References
