WAYS TO INCREASE THE INVESTMENT ATTRACTIVENESS OF THE REGION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF TOURISM

Abstract

The article discusses the concept of investment attractiveness of the region, the key terms included in its definition, defines the goals that each participant in the investment process pursues when analyzing and interpreting the obtained result of investment attractiveness. The structures in which data on investment activity and attractiveness of the region are accumulated are considered. The assessment of the existing methods proposed by the leading analytical agencies operating in the territory of the Russian Federation is carried out.; based on official sources, the authors highlight the advantages and disadvantages of the proposed methods. A comparative assessment of the investment attractiveness rating of the Udmurt Republic is provided, presented in the annual official reports of leading analytical agencies such as NRA and Expert RA. Key factors determining the investment attractiveness of a region, where tourism is considered the most promising, are identified. The concept of a region's tourism attractiveness is defined. The existing agencies that assess the tourism potential of regions in the Russian Federation are presented. The relevance of the topic is due to the fact that any region has untapped potential in the form of various types of tourist resources, which it is not able to use independently sufficiently to solve its socio-economic problems and subsequent development. The authors considered the role of the tourism sector and the assessment of the tourist attractiveness of the region in the formation of its investment attractiveness, identified key points and relationships in confirming that the tourism industry is able to act as a promising area for attracting investment in the region. The most significant events that need to be carried out are considered, as they are the key to increasing the investment attractiveness of the region.
